ADRIANA BERROTERAN

Venezuelan Director of Photography and Filmmaker with a degree in Graphic Design and a specialization in multimedia. She began her career in the world of advertising as a producer in 2007. In 2008 she traveled to the School of Design of Altos de Chavón in Dominican Republic and completed a short film production course. From 2009 to 2011 she studied Direction of photography and colorimetry in the Training Center Union of Argentine Film Industry CFP SICA (Centro de Formación Profesional del Sindicato de la Industria Cinematográfica Argentina). In 2013 she completed a workshop of DaVinci Resolve and Color Correction in Punto Cine school in Argentina. Since then, her experience has focused on projects that range from commercials, music videos and documentaries to short films and feature films in Germany, Austria, USA, Mexico and Argentina. In March 2011 she was selected to participate in the Talent Campus Buenos Aires in collaboration with the Berlin Film Festival - Berlinale Talent Campus, the Buenos Aires International Film Festival (BAFICI) and Buenos Aires Lab (BAL). She directed the short documentary "Aguas Dulces" in Uruguay in 2012 which was part of the Official Selection of the VIII Transterritorial Film Festival of the same year. Two years later, in September 2014, this film was selected to participate in the Official Selection of the Venezuelan Film Festival in New York and was screened at Tribeca Cinemas with other Venezuelan films in selection. She was the director and DOP of the music video “Hurricane” for the German Artist Ankathie Koi, this project is part of the Official Selection in the 41st Denver Film Festival 2018 in Colorado, USA. She recently had the opportunity to have a solo exhibition of her photography project called "Why Can’t You Danceat the Salón de Kartman Gallery in Los Angeles, CA (November 2017) and a collective exhibition at the Amarauca Contemporary Art Platform  in Chiapas, Mexico (April 2018), project in which the artist explores the relationship between women's identities and their emotional memories. She currently lives between Mexico City and Berlin, working as a director on photography and experimenting more and more on conceptual still photography.
